Frequently asked questions

What businesses need to know.

Practical answers about the SmartCycle 8 platform, collection coordination and environmental recordkeeping.

Who is the SmartCycle 8 platform designed for?

It is designed for Philippine restaurants, hotels, commissaries, food-service groups, multi-site waste generators, environmental teams and collection operations that need one place to coordinate requests, records and responsible recovery workflows.

Can the platform manage waste profiles and supporting documents?

Yes. A business can organize material profiles, source locations, container details, photos, permits and supporting documents by branch or waste stream. Profile acceptance and regulatory classification remain subject to SmartCycle 8 review and applicable Philippine requirements.

Can labels, QR codes or collection references be produced?

The workflow can support unique request references, QR or barcode identifiers and configurable labels for approved materials and containers. Final label content must match the actual material, transport arrangement and documentation required for the transaction.

How does the system support DENR, EMB and LGU compliance?

It helps centralize collection records, permits, material information, photos, status history and audit-ready exports. It supports compliance work but does not replace professional assessment, official submissions, permits or instructions issued by DENR, EMB, an LGU or another competent authority.

Does the software integrate with other business applications?

Yes. Gmail notifications, Google Calendar scheduling and connections to CRM, ERP, accounting, dispatch or reporting applications can be configured through our Open API and approved custom integrations. Availability depends on the selected implementation, access permissions and the third-party service.

Can it manage several branches and pickup locations?

Yes. Authorized teams can maintain multiple branches, contacts, pickup instructions, preferred schedules and material profiles while limiting each user to the locations and information they are permitted to access.

Can containers left at a merchant site be tracked?

Container type, count, condition, site assignment and related collection activity can be recorded. QR or barcode-based tracking can be introduced where the operating workflow and equipment require it.

Can a merchant submit and follow a pickup request online?

Yes. Merchants can submit material details, estimated quantity, photos, branch information and a preferred collection window, then follow the request through review, scheduling and collection. A preferred date is not final until confirmed by SmartCycle 8.

Can waste volumes and costs be reviewed by branch or department?

Dashboards and exports can summarize recorded quantities, collection activity and allocated service costs by business, branch, department or reporting period, subject to the data captured in the workflow.

Does SmartCycle 8 provide onboarding and training?

Implementation can include account setup, branch and user configuration, workflow review and practical training for merchant and operations teams. The scope is agreed during onboarding.

Can the platform handle materials other than used cooking oil?

The platform can be configured for additional liquid or regulated waste streams after technical and compliance assessment. SmartCycle 8’s current standard collection offer remains focused on eligible grease oil and used frying oil; other materials are not automatically accepted.

How is access to business and compliance information controlled?

Access can be organized by account role, merchant and branch. Operational safeguards, activity records and data-retention rules are applied according to the deployed service, SmartCycle 8 policy and applicable Philippine data-privacy requirements.
